Boat Sound Deadening & Marine Engine Bay Sound Deadening By ButylMAT
Trying to relax on your barge or motorboat but are being interrupted by your marine engines tick-over noise? Fitting boat sound deadening & marine engine bay sound deadening products can greatly reduce the noise coming from your engine compartment. In just a few simple steps we will guide you on how and where to fit your marine sound deadening products.
Introducing ButylMAT boat sound deadening and marine engine bay sound deadening material. Available on rolls and in sheet form this versatile 1.7mm thick, 3Kg/m2 boat sound deadening product will reduce panel vibration, sound resonance and sound transmission. It has a heat reflective dual layer cover film on its outer face and is capable of reaching temperatures of -40C to +90C.
ButylMAT is self adhesive enabling you to simply cut the boat sound deadening to shape, peel and stick (after a little surface preparation to remove oils) Its outer cover material is durable and is tear resistant to ensure a lasting fit and a quality look.
Fitting ButylMAT boat sound deadening couldn't be easier!
Start by choosing the areas to be covered, usually this is the hatch or engine bay cover and around the bulkhead panels either sides of the engine itself. Clean the boat engine bay panels and area with a degreaser and wipe clean with several clean wipes. Measure the panels if they are rectangular or simply template the areas to be covered with the ButylMAT boat sound deadening.
Cut to ButylMAT marine sound deadening to shape ensuring the foil face (silver side) is facing the engine. Peel and roller in place with a seam roller.
Ensure joins are overlapped by 20-120mm dependent upon the shape of the area you are covering.
ButylMAT is manufactured in the UK
